Finland is known as one of the happiest places on earth. For the past three years (including this year, in the middle of a pandemic), it has been ranked number-one on the United Nations’ World Happiness Report.
What’s their secret? If you had visited Finland last year you would have been able to enjoy a program that began in 2019. Called Rent A Finn, possibly one of the best program names ever, which paired tourists with locals to “find your personal happiness guide”.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic has made travel like that impossible, the program has adapted and is now called Rent A Finn Goes Virtual, and it’s all available free online.
This online happiness class is a series of five livestreams; two of which have already happened though are still available on Finland’s Youtube Channel.
Each lesson is led by one or two Finnish locals, who will talk about happiness through the lens of a specific theme.
You can find a list of the upcoming classes, which will run from May 29 through June 12 at RentAFinn.com.
