
Agropur Cooperative is recalling Iceberg brand and Originale Augustin brand ice cream sandwiches from the marketplace due to possible presence of fine metal particles. This recall was triggered by the company. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.
The ice cream sandwiches were sold in Quebec, Ontario and Atlantic Canada, Agropur Cooperative said in a news release on Friday. They also added people who return the product can get a full refund from stores.
The following products are being affected by this recall: Iceberg Mega Sandwiches, Vanilla Ice Cream, in 8 × 190 mL packages, with the UPC – 74276 11816 and the product code: 2021 MA 29 19149

If you have purchased any of the previous products it is advised that you do not eat them, though there have not been any reports of illness or injury related to this recall, and instead either throw them out or return them to the point of purchase.
