Santa Claus Parades In Brant County Road Closures Saturday

There are two more chances to catch the man in red and his friends in Brant County as there will be two more Santa Claus Parades this Saturday, December 8th.

The first takes place in Burford where the Burford Lions organized a parade that will begin at 5 pm at the Burford Community Centre before heading along King St. to Park Ave. and finally ending at the Burford Fairgrounds. This parade will cause the following road closures;

Saturday, December 8th, 4:00PM to 7:00PM:
– Potter Drive (from King Street to Brian Drive)
– Brian Drive (from Potter Drive to Delarine Drive)
– Delarine Drive (from Brian Drive to Potter Drive)
– King Street (from Potter Drive to Park Avenue)
– Park Avenue (from King Street to Rutherford Street)
– Rutherford Street (from Maple Avenue South to Park Avenue)

And starting shortly after in St. George is the St. George Santa Claus Parade which was put together by the St. George Fighterfighters and will have its start at 6 pm on the corner of Scott Street and Beverly Street before making its way down Beverly Street to Main Street and then up to Andrew Street. The following roads will be closed on Saturday to accommodate the parade:

Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM:
-Beverly Street West – Scott Street to High Street
-High Street – Beverly Street West to Main Street South
-Main Street South – High Street to Beverly Street
-Main Street North – Beverly Street to Highgate Drive

Both are opportunities for a day with the family and with the fresh snow on the ground and the forecast calling for mostly sunshine it should be an all around wonderful winter day for a Parade. Be sure to bring your blankets and your thermos of a hot beverage of your choice though as it is not looking to rise above freezing.
