The left overs from Yesterday’s storms have lead the roadways treacherous to travel this morning which is resulting in a multitude of bus cancellations and due to the policy of the some school boards that means schools are also closed.
Grand Erie District School Board has announced ALL Grand Erie schools & Board facility sites are CLOSED today due to inclement weather (snow/freezing rain). All @STSBHN bus routes are cancelled today. All transportation for Grand Erie Six Nations students is also cancelled.
Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board has also announced: Due to inclement weather, transportation is cancelled and ALL SCHOOLS in ALL ZONES are closed to students today. As well, all language classes and Community Use of Schools bookings are cancelled.
Also impacted thus far;
Waterloo buses cancelled, schools open.
Oxford, Elgin, Middlesex County buses cancelled; schools open.
Halton Catholic District School Board: All student transportation has been cancelled today. Schools are open.
Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board: All school buses cancelled due to weather. Schools are open.
Halton District School Board: All school buses cancelled but schools remain open.
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board: Schools, admin buildings, and school child care centres are closed this morning.
Hamilton Wentworth Catholic Schools are open but buses cancelled.
Peel District School Board: All school buses cancelled in Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga today. Schools remain open.
Durham Student Transportation Services: School buses have been cancelled for Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 3 today.
The policy of closing schools when transportation is impacted has not been adopted across all boards but was designed with the safety of students and staff in mind.
