There is a young girl in Baltimore, named Lauren Blumenfeld, who is 10-years-old and knows how to get things done. What she is doing, is her part to raise awareness for breast cancer, by encouraging everyone to wear pink and donate toward efforts to find a cure with “Think Pink Day”. Lauren started Think Pink Day two years ago after her and several other students had been affected by breast cancer.
All the money raised goes to the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. So far, Think Pink Day has raised more than $1,200. Lauren’s goal is that, one day, every school in the US will think pink. “It makes me feel really happy, because I know, one day, we’ll make a difference and we’ll stop cancer,” she said.
