Several fundraisers are being planned in Brantford for a mother of five children who is battling terminal cancer. Fundraising organizer Brittany Drysdale says 43-year-old Trish Lewis, a nurse at Joseph Brant in Burlington, has to pay $279 a week for medication to boost her quality of life and the expenses are mounting up.
Drysdale and co-host Emily Osborn are scheduling several fundraisers for Lewis, starting with a yardsale and bbq at her home at 163 Cockshutt Road on June 22nd and 23rd.
A paint nite, which will be held outside and must be paid ahead of time, will be held at Drysdale’s house June 29th from 5 to 9.
There will be a scrap metal and bottle drive until July 26th and then the big charity benefit July 27th from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m at the Gunners Club at 115 Henry Street.
Drysdale is requesting donations of raffle and door prizes for the Gunners Club fundraiser. She can be contacted at 226-920-8742 or Brittany.hamilton11201990@hotmail.com
