Fall Yard Waste Collection Begins On Monday, Sept. 30th

The City of Brantford put out a Tweet this week letting residents know that their Fall Yard Waste Collection will begin on Monday, September 30th and will run until Friday, November 29. Collection will take place on your regular garbage day. That means you should wait until after the weekend before putting your yard waste on the curb, make sure to put it into a proper container as well.

The City will accept Kraft paper yard waste bags or open rigid walled containers. They give a big “NO” to any plastic bags. They also ask that you do not rake yard waste to the curb, but instead, place properly contained yard waste in front of your property. As a note there is a limit to how many bags you may put out at once; but with a maximum of 30 bags per week you should be okay. As usual when placing waste to the curb it must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day, but not before 7 p.m. the night before.
