Environment Canada has updated a Special Weather Statement about a Texas low that is going to move through the lower half of Southern Ontario beginning Tonight and carrying through until Friday as it heads toward Cornwall.
The Statement states now that it will be mostly Snow over the course of the day, much like what fell overnight, but still say that Thursday commutes may be affected.
It now Reads:
Light snow will continue today, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle. Additional light snow will be possible tonight into Friday morning. Total snowfall accumulations in the 5 to 10 cm range are expected for most areas. Given the timing of the snow, the this morning commute as well as the the afternoon or evening commute are likely to be impacted. Environment Canada will continue to monitor the situation closely. However, Snowfall warnings are not anticipated at this time.
With the chance of ice pellets and risk of freezing rain having passed, it is now just a question of how much snow will fall and if there will be any freezing drizzle to cause commuters any trouble on the roads.
Any updates will be added to this post.
