With negotiations resumed between the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) and the Province, as well as the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) and the Province there could be updates to the following information before the end of the day. But as of posting this information is accurate.
ETFO announced earlier this week that if a central agreement is not reached by Today, Friday (January 31), it will continue its rotating, one-day, full withdrawal of services at select school boards and it will hold a province-wide, one-day, full withdrawal of services on Thursday (February 6). For Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB) elementary students and families, this means schools will be closed to students on Monday (February 3) as well as Thursday (February 6) next week due to ETFO job action.
Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) announced also that elementary and secondary will be closed for a day next week as OECTA have planned a one-day strike scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 2020 if an agreement between OECTA and the Province has not been reached.
