Today’s Good News Story of the Day is a simple one about a sports fan who has loved her team all her life and even lived through their 86 year title drought. The 102 year-old Mary Latowski was born the same year as the last time the Dodgers and the Red Sox played in the world series and was a baby when Babe Ruth lead the team to World Series wins in 1916 and 1918. Now, more than 100 years later, she is watching these two teams battle it out for the title.
It wasn’t easy being able to get to the park this year, Mary suffered a stroke three weeks before the series began, but she managed to finish rehab in time to make it to the park to see her team play in game 3.
