The City of Brantford is continuing road maintenance into the fall and starting Today there are expected to be some roads that become a little more difficult to navigate for the next week. Giving us a heads up the City posted the following public notice to it’s website.
“As part of the City’s ongoing road maintenance program, we are pleased to advise that work to seal cracks on roadways in high traffic areas throughout the city are scheduled commence on or about Wednesday October 10th, 2018. A list of locations can be accessed on the City’s website at:
The sealing crews will require space so we ask drivers to use extra caution when travelling near the working crews and to slow down as several of the locations that will be upgraded are on high traffic volume and higher speed limit roads. Please note that a 24-hour cooling period is required before debris (including loose particles of asphalt) can be swept clear.
We also ask drivers to allow extra travel time or plan alternate routes, as there may be delays. Police point duty will be present through signalized intersections where motorists are strongly advised to pay extra attention and follow Police signals.
Pending weather conditions, the process is expected to take approximately 7 days to complete. For more information regarding this project please call the City’s Customer Contact Centre at 519-759-4150.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to make necessary improvements to the roads in our community.
The City of Brantford”
The locations were then laid out in an online map.
