Brantford Home Price Continues To Rise

The average sale price of Brantford homes set another record in July. The numbers are in and once again prices in the City continue to rise. The average selling price of a house in Brantford was sitting at $471,026 last month, which is an 8.4 per cent jump from July 2018.

The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $450,125, rising 7.1 per cent from the same period in 2018. But this rise in price has not slowed down the sales it seems; the number of homes sold through the MLS System of the Brantford Regional Real Estate Association came to 227 in July, which is an increase of 13.5 per cent from the same month last year. Even when you go by sales in the first seven months of the year you will still see a 10 percent increase in 2019 over 2019, with a total 1,343 units sold.

More people are taking advantage of the increase in price as well, as there were 356 new residential listings made in July, which is yet another record, for new supply, in that month.
